A field for Earth Day c:
HAPPY EARTH DAY!
I feel like Tuls doesn’t even like Maggie that much. They have a deal, and that’s it. Maybe he’s like that one friend who may not like you, but is still there for you if you need him. In short he’s loyal to his word.
If they were super cute besties I would just love that, but I honestly think that’s just no where near the case at all. :c
Hey, they should do a reverse version of Faking It where a couple of lesbians pretend to be straight so they’re accepted!
They could call it “Real Life”.
Here’s some tips, of course nothing professional, but things I’ve learned myself.
Hope it helps some of you guys. ovo
Okay, if you want actual advice, I’ll do what I can.
The hands are ridiculously small in proportion to the face. From what it looks like, her hand fully open would barely even cover her mouth. Take your own hand and open it in front of your own face. That’ll give you a better idea.
The eye further from the “camera” should be “smaller” in order to seem further away. It makes it look like the right eye is actually LARGER on that side of her (her?) face. The head is also ridiculously large in comparison to the rest of the body (and the neck is near non-existent). If you’re going for a gnome-type body, that isn’t as big of a deal, but…
The ear is very, very far back on the head. That is a MASSIVE amount of space between the eye and the ear. That’s like 2 of her hand-widths from her eye to the ear. Thats a fucking TON of space.
Eyebrows are pretty helter-skeltor. I get the look you’re going for, but it looks a little… off. Probably the eyes throwing it off.
Nose isn’t aligned correctly with the way her face is facing. We’re seeing the nose practically straight-on when she’s supposed to be a little turned to the side (at least it seems so).
Iris in the left (her right) eye is the same size as the other (which throws off perspective). It shouldn’t take up her entire eye. Needs some white to look less off.
There’s probably more but I’m really tired and this burrito is calling my name.
Thank you, that is certainly much better. I’ll keep that in mind. (though i already knew her head was too big)
edit: oops! reblogged to wrong blog. poo
Sorry if I came across harsh before. Just usually I see art like this and the artist is a complete snob and refuses to take any form of criticism. Good luck to ya.
That’s alright, I know. I see plenty people like that, so I try not to be like them. They just make themselves look really bad. There’s no sense in freaking out over critique, cause like, if you wanna get better you can’t pitch a fit. Other folk see different than you so outside perspectives on anything in art are good ideas to take to heart. 8U
