I wrote “If saying “One nation under Zeus is offense to you then you’re probably a hypocrite when you say ‘saying under god is not offense’” on a note and left it where it could be found in my first class a couple weeks ago. I found it today under a book at my desk and someone had replied. I’ll have to summarize (i’ll get to the reason in a moment).
The reply said "By pointing this out you show you obviously don’t know what religious equality is. Stop spreading Liberalist Bullshit. God bless.”
The reason I have to summarize, is because while the class was playing a game (though at the moment everyone was talking) I wanted to show the note to a friend. So I hand it to her behind me. I wasn’t “passing notes” or “disturbing the class” or anything. We were not working. But the teacher walked over and picked up the note right off her desk, read it, ripped it into little pieces “because it had a dirty word on it” and threatened to give me detention when I insisted that I did NOT know who replied to me. She didn’t get me in trouble, but as I walked out to go to lunch, she said “Have a nice day Heather.”
EDIT: I just looked up what a Liberal is. “open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.”
did they SERIOUSLY try to insult me by basically saying that I was an open and accepting person who favored progress? how is that even an insult?
